We are proud to announce that Matthew Wallace, President and CEO of VRSim, joined fellow innovators and policymakers at the Connecticut State Capitol to help launch the newly formed Artificial Intelligence Caucus. This bipartisan initiative brings together leaders from government, academia, and industry to guide responsible and ethical AI development, policy, and application across the state.

The AI Caucus was officially unveiled during a press conference held in Hartford, where Wallace stood alongside state legislators, advocates, and other experts to champion the importance of AI in shaping Connecticut’s future. The Caucus aims to ensure the state is prepared to harness AI’s potential while protecting public interests and promoting transparency, accountability, and workforce readiness.

“Connecticut business can be a hub for AI development, not just for the big, giant companies, but for us little guys too, who have new and innovative ways to make this technology work,” said Wallace during his remarks. “We need to be thoughtful about how it will impact our lives, and that involves clarity and clear disclosure and transparency about how it is used.”

Wallace emphasized the need for collaborative frameworks that support AI research, infrastructure, and talent development. He also highlighted VRSim’s commitment to using AI in ethical and responsible ways that enhance soft skills training and workforce development tools.

VRSim supports SB2: An Act Concerning Artificial Intelligence and applauds this forward-looking initiative. We are excited to contribute to shaping a sustainable AI ecosystem that benefits all Connecticut residents. We look forward to continued engagement with the AI Caucus and other stakeholders working to ensure a thriving, inclusive digital future.
