Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne Introduces VRSim’s SimSpray® to Local Youth
SimSpray® to be integrated into the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne Jim Kelley Career Pathway Center youth training programs.
VRSim, Inc (“VRSim”), the premier developer of interactive VR training solutions for skilled trades, along with Aidex Corporation and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, is pleased to announce the introduction of SimSpray Go® as part of a new outreach program to introduce local youth to skilled trade careers.
“VRSim’s SimSpray is perfect to train youth in painting and coating. Not only does it provide a very realistic experience and develop muscle memory, [but also] it can be used very safely in a small space and avoids added materials cost,”
said Nicholas Gray, VP of Strategic Partnerships and Workforce Development with Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne.
The new Jim Kelley Career Pathway Center will use SimSpray Go® as part of their youth training programs. As the leading virtual reality training tool for painting and coatings workforce development, SimSpray® removes barriers to learning by improving access to hands-on training experiences. SimSpray’s ability to teach and engage young learners with in-demand trade skills supports The Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne’s mission to “inspire all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.”
VR skills training is ideal for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne. It allows the club’s participants to encounter many real-life job experiences at a fraction of the cost of similar live training opportunities. Gray added, “we don’t need to wait for paint to dry and can accelerate the learning time. In addition to the materials saved, there will be reduced trainer expense[s] since much of the program is self-guided.” This makes SimSpray® an ideal choice for their painting and coatings training.
According to Gray, the decision to include SimSpray® for experiential training will connect the new career pathway center with local auto body and detailing shops in Fort Wayne who are “lining up for talent”. Gray believes that SimSpray® will help create an expanded and better trained workforce through exposure to this new and cutting-edge technology.
